Superman Walks

This is simply an amazing and truly inspiring story. 
I don't have much to add but just want to share what has been already written.

It takes Kiel Eigen anywhere from 25-30 steps to walk from the baseline to half court in the Elio Ghigiarelli Gymnasium at Old Forge High School.
That’s right. Read it again.

OLD FORGE
Kiel Eigen never believed the odds would defeat him. With his powerful determination and an unwillingness to give in, he finally won.
After suffering a serious neck injury as an eighth-grader that left him in a wheelchair, Eigen lifted himself up and walked with the aid of leg braces and a walker to center court to meet his mother, Kandi, and father, Keith, on an emotional Parents' Night before the Blue Devils played Holy Cross in a boys basketball game.

A young athlete whose neck was broken in a high school football game nearly four years ago has been an inspiration to family, friends and classmates.

The senior at Old Forge did something many thought he might never do again.

Kiel Eigen has been bound to a wheel chair for four years. Although paralyzed as a freshman while playing football for Old Forge, Eigen never gave up on sports and has continued to support his peers from the sidelines.

In the high school gym Tuesday night the community showed its support for Eigen as he walked in public for the first time since his accident.
