It wasn't the prettiest of Old Forge's four championships during its domination of District 2 Class 1A basketball, but it may have been its most resilient as the Blue Devils rallied from a seven point halftime deficit to defeat Freeland MMI, 41-37 in the Thomas R. Kelly gymnasium at Pittston Area on Thursday night and earn their fourth consecutive small school crown.

As the energetic student section, decked out in blue and gold, chanted "four-peat", Old Forge players finally had a chance to breathe a sigh of relief. Challenged to the final horn by a gritty group from MMI Prep, the top-seeded Blue Devils responded and won their fourth straight District 2 Class A title, 41-37, Thursday at Pittston Area High School.
